Erik Smithwick is a premiere NYC makeup artist who is highly sought after by editorial, bridal, and private clients. His work has been featured in Harper’s Bazaar, Italian Vogue, GQ, and CLEAR magazines. Erik started his career at Salon Nadwa near Detroit, Michigan where he rapidly built his local reputation and prominence to become Beauty Director of CLEAR magazine in 2000. In 2001, Erik became Key Makeup Artist at television station WXYZ in Detroit until 2009 when he moved to NYC where he continues to excel as a makeup artist.
